4200 Grade Pay Important decision for primary teachers in Gujarat:  65,000 teachers will continue to get 4200 grade first higher payscale as before

Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani took an important sympathetic decision in the larger interest of primary school teachers in the state

4200 Grade Pay News:

Giving background of the case here today, Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel and Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma said that following representation from several quarters a high level meeting with Mr. Rupani in chair on Tuesday discussed the Education Department's earlier decision of June 25, 2019 suspending the higher payscale which they used to get. 

Others who attended the meeting included Minister of State Vibhavariben Dave, Secretaries and other senior officers of the Education Department.

Gujarat Primary Teacher's First Higher Grade Pay Decision: 

The meeting cancelled the June 25, 2019 decision as a result of which about 65,000 primary school teachers would continue to get the 4200 Grade higher payscale as before. Thus the notification to pay them 2,800 grade pay in lieu of 4,200 grade payscale stands suspended.

The Chief Minister has directed the Education Department to implement immediately the new order in consultation with the Finance Department and General Administration Department.
